a selection of 30 images featured in steve's imageshop are being exhibited as part of a fund raising event for the mick karn appeal on the 5th and 4th of september at the villa benzi zecchini, via montello, 61 31031 caerano di san marco, treviso, italy. The organisers will host a tribute concert for Mick featuring various Italian musicians. Steve has also included previously unseen images of Mick. More details and a dedicated website link will be posted in due course.

Due to a rise in the production cost of photo prints as well as in the postal services it will be necessary for a price increase at Steve's imageshop. The current price per print (including p&p) will rise from £125 to £150 taking effect on 01.07.10.

Mick Karn Appeal

Mick has been diagnosed with advance stages of cancer and an appeal has been launched at his website to help raise funds for treatment and care. View here

In an effort to help with this appeal the proceeds from any Karn portrait purchased from Steve's collection will automatically be donated towards it. You may alternatively elect to purchase one or more of the other photos in the collection and state that you are purchasing as a means of donating to the Mick Karn appeal and this will be processed in the same manner. a live performance recorded in december 2006, when steve joined alice for a brief selection of dates held in italian basilicas. released on alice's own record label 'ARECIBO EDIZIONI MUSICALI' the performance was recorded at milan's Basilica di San Marco and is titled 'llungo la strada'. The music features Alice (vocals), Steve Jansen (percussion & keyboards), Marco Pancaldi (guitars) and Alberto Tafuri (piano & keyboards).

distributed by EMI MUSIC ITALY and in shops now the album is also available via alice's own website from april 09.

sleepyard on compilation cd

in august '08 steve was asked to compose a commissioned piece based upon the track 'sleepyard' from 'slope' as part of a nissan advertising campaign in japan. noted for their alternative choices nissan have released a series of music compilation cds of tracks featured in their tv campaigns. the latest in the series, Shift 3, includes the original recording of 'sleepyard'. nissan.co.jp
